Project Details

The customer needed a panel replacement from 100 amps to 200 amps, and Edison required the panel to be relocated as a condition of the upgrade — which turns a straightforward swap into a much larger job. We ran new conduits from the old panel location, up through the attic, and over to the new service position, then set a new 200-amp meter main at the relocated spot. A sub panel was installed to pick up the existing circuits, with neutrals and grounds properly separated and every circuit traced and labeled. The home also has solar, so the inverter and AC disconnect were re-tied into the new service correctly. We pulled the permits, scheduled the disconnect and reconnect with Edison, and finished with wall repair and a paint match at the old opening.
